Valuka Sweda Benefits and Contraindication.....


Valuka means sand and is taken in a cloth and made into bolus (Pinda) and Swedana is done with this bolus by heating it in a hot pan.

Sand should be clear, not too fine nor too big. Heated sand is used to make painful body parts sweat. This process is called dry fomentation.

Valuka Sweda is can be performed on a specific part of the body or the Whole body itself.

DURATION 

It should be performed for 20 – 30 mins and after finishing the procedure, Patient’s head should be applied with Rasnadi Choorna and Patient is advised to take a warm water Bath.
